Welcome to T Lea Farm

Nestled in the town of Tellico Plains, beyond the winding roads is a beautiful paradise. The property consists of seventy-three acres of pure bliss. T Lea farm is a home away from home, filled with horses, streams, and lots of trails to explore. We are located within the Cherokee National Forest.

Plenty of wildlife, including deer, turkey, and yes some bear just might visit. The cabin sleeps eight and there are two decks for relaxing that allows viewing of the pastures and surrounding mountains.  The wind blows gently and the chimes ring, bringing peace and serenity. It is a very family oriented place or a great place for a couple’s getaway, quite romantic.

Every Season has a “Something”

Winter

Winter is a cozy time, sometimes you can see the snow fall while you sit by the fire. This is a very festive time of year that families come to get away from the malls and stress of the rest of the world during the holiday season. The horses have their winter coats and they get frisky and might put on a show that you can see from the glass doors of the cabin. For the more adventurous and thick skinned guest, have a winter hike through the mountains and make a snowman!

Spring

The tulips and daffodils come out of the ground and all the foliage is bright. Still the air is cool, and a great season to explore the property. Spring is a beautiful time to take a drive and see the sights of what Tennessee has to offer. The ice is melting and the water starts flowing down the mountain’s and streams.

Summer

The days are warm, the sun sets as it sneaks behind the mountain, and again you can watch from the top deck. Trees are in full bloom and hopefully our fruit trees will be producing, which are still young but growing more every year. It’s a great time of year to go fishing, hunting or kayaking with some of the local guides, finish the day off by grilling your favorite meals outside.

Fall

Fall is probably the most beautiful time of the year. The colors all change and it’s a very brilliant scene. The weather is cool and festive. Celebrate the Thanksgiving festivities as the leaves change and fall. Another great time of year to explore the property and cozy up in a corner, and of course visit our horses.

Our Horses

At our farm, we currently have 6 horses. They are typically friendly, and we allow them to have carrots and apples, but limit the quantity for the welfare of the horses.

Their names are Sterling, Silver, Ruby, Sapphire, Rizon and Scarlet, (they are the babies). They are not for our guests to ride, but to pet and admire.

There are riding stables where you can rent horses, located not too far. Literature for activities is in the cabin.
